Bassist, pianist, composer and arranger Ed Wise has made Pass Christian, Mississippi his home since 1993. He has been active on the New Orleans and Mississippi Gulf Coast music scenes, performing with Al Belletto's quartet, sextet and big band and pianist Ronnie Kole and teaching at Loyola University. Recent activities include appearing with renowned jazz guitarist Herb Ellis, vocalist Freda Payne, comics Don Rickles and Joan Rivers and performing with and recording an album with Armenian jazz pianist Vahag Petian. Ed holds a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas and has toured with Al Hirt, the Smothers Brothers and Delbert McClinton, performing with the latter at the Inauguration of President George Bush in 1990. He has also performed with jazz stars Freddie Hubbard, Lee Konitz and many others throughout the United States and Canada. resume | the music | the services
