About EDAP
EDAP is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and prevention of eating disorders through education and community activism.

EDAP is based in Seattle, Washington and was founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of mental health professionals with extensive experience in the field of eating disorders.

Today, EDAP is one of the largest eating disorders-related nonprofits in the United States.  In addition to sponsoring "National Eating Disorders Week" each February for the last 12 years, EDAP also serves as a clearinghouse of information, providing educational materials about eating disorders and their prevention to schools and university-based programs aimed at promoting healthy self-esteem and body image.

With a headquarters staff of six, a board of directors consisting of some of the most esteemed eating disorders professionals in the country and a volunteer network of over 440 coordinators nationwide, EDAP is a well-established organization capable of supporting and expanding the voice and presence of the GO GIRLS! program across the country.
