GULF COAST BICYCLE CLUB MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
The Gulf Coast Bicycle Club welcomes cyclists of all abilities. Non-members will be required to pay $1 and sign a waiver. Membership extends for one year beginning January 1st. Due or due by February 15th of the new year. Due will be pro-rated for members joining after June 15. All rides are "free" to members except special events. Please notice the word ride, not race.
The scenic roads on the Gulf Coast provide a stress-relieving experience, riding at your own pace following a planned route. Rides may be fast or slow, but are always group outings and no one will get lost. Feel free to call ride leaders about any concerns. In addition to regularly scheduled weekend rides, the GCBC also sponsors workshops, annual century rides, overnight tours and various social events.
Helmets are required on all GCBC rides. Be prepared to repair flat tires. Carry a patch kit, spare tube, pump, tire tool, and water and snacks, especially on long rides. Always ride as near to the right side of the roadway as practicable. Cycling can be dangerous and only becomes relatively safe when the cyclist is well informed, careful, law abiding and has gained experience on the road.

In signing this form for myself and/or as an adult responsible for all children under age of 18, I understand and agree to absolve, waive, release and discharge, in advance the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club Inc., all of the officers, members, organizers and sponsors, be they individuals or organizations, singly or collectively, of all blame for injury, misadventure, harm, loss or inconvenience suffered as a result of participation in any club activity associated with the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club.
I represent that I am in good physical and mental condition, and that I have sufficient skill and experience to safely complete any bicycle ride or tour in which I choose to participate. I realize that in bicycle riding, there is the possibility of accidental or other physical injury and that property damage and serious injury can occur as a result of cycling. Knowing the risks, I agree to assume the risks, agree to release, hold harmless, and to indemnify the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club from any and all liability to the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club by either myself or any third party as a result of my participation in any event involving the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club. I agree to wear an ANSI or Snell approved helmet on all Gulf Coast Bicycle Clubs’
cycling rides and events.
I agree that the undertakings set forth in the preceding paragraphs shall remain in force and effect until I cease to be a member of the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club.
