Acceptable Use Policy --------------------- Please read this carefully. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in cancellation of your account. Similar restrictions are used by all Internet Service Providers. If you are new to the Internet and do not fully understand these points, please call GOLD Inc. a. GOLD Inc customers will not send unsolicited e-mail. Unsolicited e-mail is defined as any e-mail sent to an individual or group (whether the mailing list was bought or developed by the Customer) where the recipient or recipients have not specifically requested information or a response. E-mail includes information of any kind, advertisements, literary works, graphics, voice and video files, and any other material that can be contained in current or future implementations of e-mail. b. GOLD Inc customers will not post advertisements to USENET newsgroups unless the newsgroup specifically states in its FAQ that advertisements are acceptable. c. GOLD Inc customers will not use their Internet accounts to harass or abuse other members of the Internet community. d. GOLD Inc customers will not post copyrighted materials, whether written, graphic, or in any other form, to any public site without permission from the author or creator. e. GOLD Inc customers will not use their accounts to initiate any process intended to discover passwords, take others' mail, or decrypt others' information, nor will they attempt to obtain unauthorized access to any computer or computer network. f. GOLD Inc customers will not use their accounts for any unlawful purpose. g. GOLD Inc reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, at any time, for use considered unacceptable at the sole discretion of the GOLD Inc System Administration. Public Notice to the Internet Community at large ------------------------------------------------- Unsolicited commercial or bulk EMail sent to any address within the goldinc.com network is unacceptable, unwelcome, and not permitted. abuse@goldinc.com is a network fascist, and will rabidly pursue any violation of this policy with points of contact at the abusing domain and any/all upstream contacts. If the abuser is found to have violated the acceptable use policy of a remote network, GOLD Inc will insist on the enforcement of that policy. The administration of GOLD Inc does not allow their customers to spam, and will not permit the spamming of their customers. Special notice for those who would spam email addresses within goldinc.com, digimag.net, ntcc.net, usaglobal.net or another domain hosted by the Goldinc Network:Gulfcoast On-Line Development, Inc. ("Goldinc") does not authorize the use of its proprietary computers and computer network ("the Goldinc Network") to accept, transmit or distribute unsolicited bulk e-mail sent from the Internet to Goldinc members.
In addition, Internet e-mail sent, or caused to be sent, to or through the Goldinc Network that makes use of or contains invalid or forged headers, invalid or non-existent domain names or other means of deceptive addressing will be deemed to be counterfeit. Any attempt to send or cause such counterfeit e-mail to be sent to or through the Goldinc Network is unauthorized. Similarly, e-mail that is relayed from any third party's mail servers without the permission of that third party, or which employs similar techniques to hide or obscure the source of the e-mail, is also an unauthorized use of the Goldinc Network. Goldinc does not authorize anyone to send e-mail or cause e-mail to be sent to the Goldinc Network that violates Goldinc's Terms of Service. Goldinc does not authorize the harvesting or collection of usernames from the Goldinc service for the purpose of sending unsolicited e-mail. Goldinc reserves the right to take all legal and technical steps available to prevent unsolicited bulk e-mail or other unauthorized e-mail from entering, utilizing or remaining within the Goldinc Network. Nothing in this policy is intended to grant any right to transmit or send e-mail to, or through, the Goldinc Network. Goldinc's failure to enforce this policy in every instance in which it might have application does not amount to a waiver of Goldinc's rights.
