Christmas in September
The 20th Annual Sand Sculpture Contest
Saturday, September 16, 1995 on the beach in Biloxi opposite Edgewater Mall
CONTEST RULES (courtesy Sun Herald)
- Competition is by teams of no more than FIVE members. Teams compete on one of
two levels:
- Championship Competition is for former-champions and other "pros"
- Open Competition is for any other five-member team
- Competition begins at 9 AM and sculptures must be complete by 2 PM
- To win, sculptures must comply with the theme: Christmas in September: A Winter
WonderBeach.
- Upon registration, all team captains receive a complete set of contest rules.
JUDGING
- All teams have 20' square work areas. Sculptures are judged on originality,
appearance, use of the medium, and appropriateness to the contest theme.
HOW TO ENTER
- Entry deadline is Friday, September 15, 1995. There is no entry fee. To enter,
visit the DeBuoys Road office of the Sun Herald or mail this coupon to receive a set of
rules and official entry form. Besure to register by September 15, 1995. Questions should be

PRIZES
- Prizes will be awarded in two divisions:
- CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION (team prizes)
- Grand Champions: $1,000 + Trophy
- Runners-Up: $500 + Trophy
- OPEN DIVISION (team prizes)
- 1st Place: $500 + Trophy
- 2nd Place: $400 + Trophy
- 3rd Place: $300 + Trophy
- 4th Place: $200 + Trophy
- 5th Place: $100 + Trophy
- Honorable Mention: Trophy
