• At 1:52 PM, a DS3 circuit outage between Chicago and Detroit causes portions of the Mississippi Gulf Coast to drop off the face of the Internet. This was a "hardware failure", and you can guess who was affected. Geesh! 3 more hours of downtime. This will henceforth be known as the Week From Hell.

1997-11-22

• Goldinc suffers a 10 minute (planned) outage as our circuit to the Gulfport Central Office is moved to fiber.

• As if the 7 hour outage wasn't unbearable enough, the afternoon brings an unbearable *9* hour connectivity loss. No more talk of uptime streaks or starting a new one, you hear?

• A "protection circuit" malfunctions and Bell South is called out in the wee hours of the morning to replace it -- but not before an unfortunate loss of nearly 7 hours of Internet connectivity.
  Sorry about that.

• All good things must come to an end. Our uptime streak was ended at 105 days, voluntarily, for the installation of a new hard disk. We'll start another one tomorrow.

• Houston Dorr's website showcases his talents and the Hojado Ryu Karate Association.

• Pass Christian will celebrate it's 13th Christmas in the Pass on Friday, Dec. 5th, from 4-9. There will be SNOW in the Park, lighting of the Christmas tree in the park at 5:30 P.M., Santa's ride through town at 6PM., and a boat parade in the harbor at 7PM. Throughout it all, the merchants of Pass Christian take this opportunity each year to thank you, our customers, for your patronage. The stores and town will be brightly decorated. There will be groups of singers, dancers, violinists and more, strolling about town. There will be food available on the street and in our great restaurants. You will also find tempting nibbles in the stores that are having "open house". Event Parking is available at Pass High, corner of Church and Second; parking lot on the East corner of Market and Second; in Pass Christian Harbor and around the park. The trolley , appropriately decorated for Christmas, will travel up and down Scenic and Second St.and will drop you off wherever you want to stop.

  Please, bring your family and join us for Christmas in the Pass. This is a wonderful way to begin your holidays.
